Aerobics
YMCA aerobic classes are led by certified instructors and are
free to members. Participants may join classes at any time
without signing up. Participants must be at least 14 years old
to take part in group aerobics classes.
Fitness Cycling:
Fitness cycling is a certified group spinning program using
stationary bikes. Instructors coach participants through a
high-energy, calorie & fat-burning class that puts each person
in control of the bike’s resistance. Beginning to advanced
exercisers are welcome but class is limited to the number of
bikes on a first-come, first-serve basis. Don’t forget your
water bottle!
Yoga/Pilates:
Yoga/Pilates focuses on relaxation,
flexibility, building strength, burning body fat, and developing
a connection between mind and body. This class is not
recommended for pregnant women. All fitness levels welcome.
Cardio Mix:
Cardio mix combines many favorites including
kick box training, step aerobics, floor aerobics, interval
training, and body sculpting. All fitness levels welcome.
Group Strength: Increase your flexibility, muscular
strength, and endurance in this class by using a combination of
lightweights, fitness balls, and isolation & balance exercises.
Group strength is a great overall mind and body workout that is
perfect for the beginner as well as the advanced exerciser.
Circuit: The circuit workout alternates aerobic
conditioning on the step and/or floor and strength moves using
light weights and/or tubing. This class ends with abdominal work
and stretches. It is geared toward the intermediate to advanced
exerciser.
Step Combo: Step combo is an intense but low impact
cardio workout using the aerobic bench. The cardio segment is
followed by abdominal work and stretches. Intermediate to
advanced exercisers welcome.
Power Pump: This strength training class is nationally
recognized and certified to give you complete muscular endurance
and definition. Power pump consists of interval concepts using
new state-of-the-art weight training equipment. It is designed
for men and women focused on achieving a high fitness level
through intense workouts.
Men’s Fitness Class:
This class
is just for men and will
change according to the instructor’s discretion. All fitness
levels are welcome.
Bar Method
Yoga:
This method of yoga will help
add muscle through simple, highly effective isolations.
Bar Method Yoga focuses on reshaping and tightening to help slim
down the hips, lift the seat, and gain arm definition.
This class is geared for the beginner to intermediate exerciser.
Teen Yoga:
This class will focus on
functional strength and flexibility that can help to prevent or
correct muscular imbalances in the body. By increasing
elasticity, yoga helps to prevent injury so that teens can
participate in the sports and activities they enjoy longer and
with better coordination, focus & balance.
15 Minute Ab Blast:
This class is not just
your ordinary crunches! You will focus on core strength by
isolating and targeting all areas of the abdominals through
balance, pilate moves, stability ball, and the gliding discs.
If you are tired of your boring abdominal workout, or you just
want to add something to your own program, all you need is 15
minutes! All levels of fitness are welcome.
Step-n-Pump:
This class combines intervals of step aerobics and floor
aerobics intermixed with strength training with the use of the
power pump equipment. This class will provide a
cardiovascular and muscular endurance workout. The class
will end with an abdominal workout and stretching. This
class can be modified from the beginner fitness level to the
most advanced level.
Boot Camp:
This boot camp class is designed to build strength and total
body conditioning through repetition, duration, and gradual
intensity. This class will be the push you need to reach
your ultimate health and fitness goals. You will work out
of your comfort zone by challenging yourself and taking your
body to the limit no matter what your current level of fitness.
This class will have modifications for lower impact participants
and will leave everyone with a healthy spirit, mind and body.
