Aerobics
YMCA aerobic classes are led by certified instructors and are
free to members. Participants may join classes at any time
without signing up. Participants must be at least 14 years old
to take part in group aerobics classes.
Core Strength:
This class is not just your ordinary crunches, you
will focus on core strength by isolating and targeting all areas
of the abdominals through balance, pilates moves, stability ball
and the gliding discs. Building core strength enhances
stability and posture and may help with lower back pain!
All levels of fitness are welcome.
Cardio Mix: Cardio mix combines many favorites including
kick box training, step aerobics, floor aerobics, interval
training, and body sculpting. All fitness levels welcome.
Circuit:
This workout alternates aerobic conditioning opn the step and
floor & strength moves using light weights and/or tubing.
This class ends with abdominal work and stretches & is geared to
intermediate-advanced exercisers.
Step Combo:
Step combo is an intense but low impact
cardio workout using the aerobic bench. The cardio segment is
followed by abdominal work and stretches. Intermediate to
advanced exercisers welcome.
Coed Fitness: Are you
bored with your same lunch hour workout? Are you looking
to get rid of stress and feel energized too? Then come for
a 35 minute circuit class and add some strength and endurance to
your workout! All levels of fitness are welcome.
Cycling Circuit:
Try this class that combines cardio intervals of
cycling with strength training intervals. It will is sure
to add variety to your workout!
Fitness
Cycling: Fitness
cycling is a certified group spinning program using stationary
bikes. Instructors coach participants through a
high-energy, calorie and fat-burning class that puts each person
in control of the bike's resistance. Beginning to advanced
exercisers welcome.
Group Strength:
Increase your
flexibility, muscular strength, and endurance in this class by
using a combination of light weights, fitness balls, and
isolation and balance exercises. Group strength is a great
overall mind and body workout for the beginner as well as the
advanced exercisers.
Yoga for Fitness:
A Yoga class desined to build strength and
flexibility, reduce stress and tension and increase your overall
health, energy & vitality. All Fitness levels welcome-
modifications provided.
Pilates:
A mat workout focusing
first on developing strength through the core of the body-the
back, abdomen and hips. This provides a foundation to
continue working the rest of the body. The concentration
is not only on strength, but also flexibility and coordination.
Men's Fitness:
We are always looking
for men to participate in the Men's Fitness class. The
class type changes at the instructor's discretion and we
guarantee not only will you get a good workout, but that you
won't be bored. All fitness levels welcome.
Strictly Strength:
This multi-level class is for anyone who wants
to develop muscular strength and endurance. We'll tackle
"basic" resistance training exercises using traditional,
strategic principles. This simple, easy-to-follow workout
challenges every major muscle using a variety of equipment.
Step Combo:

Pump It Up!:
A weight training class to build muscle with short bursts
of cardio to burn fat. This class can be modified from the
beginner fitness level to the most advanced level.
Yoga/Pilates:
A perfect blend of out
Yoga for Fitness and Pilates classes combined into one class.
Happy Medium Fitness:
This
class is specifically designed for older adults looking for an
introduction to all kinds of fitness options. Experience a
little swimming, weight training, yoga, cycling and much more
all at a pace that’s just right.
Zumba Fitness:
Are you ready to party yourself into shape?
That's exactly what the Zumba® program is all about.
It's an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired,
calorie-burning dance fitness-party that's moving millions of
people toward joy and health. All fitness levels are welcome.
Method Yoga:
Concentrated exercises to work large muscle
groups incorporating accessory muscles followed by deep
stretches to both tone and lengthen muscles.
